Setting Up Mail Rules
Netscape 6.X Mail
- Start Netscape Mail
- From the menubar, select Edit, then select "Message Filters".
- When the Message Filters dialog box appears, click "New"
- When the Filter Rules dialog appears, In the "Filter Name" box, name the filter spam or junkmail.
- Click the button labeled "match ALL of the following".
- The middle box should read "the "Subject" of the message "Contains". If not, select "Subject" and "Contains"
from their respective lists and type:
(SPAM)
in the text box to the right of "Contains".
- In the next section, select "Move to folder", then click on the "New Folder" button on the extreme right
- In the "New Folder" Box, name the folder spam or junkmail or whatever you please.
- In the lower box (Create as a subfolder of) select "Local Mail".
- Click "OK"
- In the description box, type "junk mail filter".
- Click "OK"
- You're now back to the main Message Filters dialog. The new filter you just created should be listed,
and marked with a check mark.
- Click OK to close the Message Filters dialog.
- Your mail rule setup is complete.
