Setting Up Mail Filters
Eudora
- From the menubar, select Tools, then select Filters".
- When the Filters dialog box appears, click "New"
- In the "Match" section of the right-hand panel check "Incoming" and "Manual"
- Select "Subject" from the drop-down list for "Header".
- Make sure the drop-down selection below Header says "contains"
- Type
(SPAM)
in the box to the right of "contains".
- Leave the rest of the "Match" section as it is.
- In the "Action" section of the right-hand panel, Select "Transfer to"
- Click on the button to the right
- A list of mailboxes will appear, click on "New".
- In the dialog that pops up "Name the new mailbox", enter spam.
Do not click make it a folder.
- Click OK
- Close the Filter dialog box by clicking on the close button in the upper
right-hand corner of the window (the standard windows "X" box)
- You will be asked if you want to "Save changes to filters?". Click "Yes"
- Your mail filter setup is complete.
